The Lifesaving Society designates the third week in July as National Drowning Prevention Week.

According to the Lifesaving Society’s Ontario Drowning Report – 2019 Edition, not wearing a Lifejacket or PFD was a factor in 88% of boating deaths.

Many drowning deaths are preventable. Wearing a lifejacket or PFD is the best way to stay safe on Canada’s waterways. You’ve got it so wear it!

Protect Canada’s most vulnerable, its children. Help us make lifejackets and PFDs mandatory for children in small vessels.
